British Wildlife Photography Awards 2014

This highly acclaimed competition is now open and ready to receive your entries. Take a camera outside and bear witness to the marvels of our natural world.

The British Wildlife Photography Awards (BWPA) was established to recognise the talents of photographers practising in Britain today, while at the same time highlighting the great wealth and diversity of Britain’s natural history.

Now in its sixth year, this unique wildlife photography competition has captivated the public with its outstanding and beautiful imagery.

It is a celebration of British wildlife, as well as a showcase for photographers and videographers – both amateur and professional. Natural England has supported the competition every year in different ways since 2009, and BWPA continues to raise the bar in setting a high standard for British wildlife photography.

There is a wide range of categories, including two new ones, covering every aspect of British wildlife. There is an opportunity to enter a short wildlife film using HD video, plus a special awards category for young people.

The awards ceremony and launch of the exhibition will take place at the Mall Galleries in London in September 2014. The awards will be hosted and presented by naturalist and TV presenter Chris Packham.
